Team Best for Babes is an official charitable partner at the MCM 2012 October 28, 2012 --support our Babe Racers at this historic event - a first for a breastfeeding charity!
What are we running for? Millions of moms and babies annually don't achieve even their personal breastfeeding goals and miss out on the lifetime of health and emotional benefits breastfeeding provides for both of them because they are Booby-Trapped by the cultural, institutional and legal barriers they unfairly face. It's not their fault! By teaming up with Best for Babes, you're backing the first mainstream Cause to fight the Booby Traps and change the way we support moms, and breastfeeding. We're also putting more miles on the front end of prevention so we don't have to put as many on the back end of the "cure!"
Team BFB at the MCM is sposored by Leading Lady -- a premiere nursing intimate apparel company, and makers of a fabulous sports nursing bra! Each Team member will receive a bra and a coupon at the event!
Is this a women-only Team? Absolutely not! Men love their Babes, big and small too! We've had some dads Racing for their Babes before and we want more! Increasing breastfeeding rates could save billions annually in health care costs, spare moms and babies needless suffering, shame, regret and blame, and generally change the course of our collective health. Human milk and breastfeeding are good for everybody's bottom line - mom's, baby's, the family's, the environment, the overall economy. The Mother of All Causes is worth us all getting behind!

What if I am already registered for the Marine Corps Marathon?
If you have already registered for the MCM before it sold out, we'd still love to have you on our team! We will not require a registration fee, however, and we will not need a credit card number. We will just require that you meet the $500 fundraising commitment in order to receive our racing t-shirt and be eligible for the other goodies described above.
